Re: Configure a tape drive library DLT8000 (6/140)
That White Paper on configuring the library is great. I can now manipulate the "picker"
and move tapes from slot to slot. I can even do backups with tar. The problem now is
that fbackup tells me:
"output file /dev/rmt/c9t1d0BEST is not a valid device file for backup"
But this same device file works just fine with tar.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: Configure a tape drive library DLT8000 (6/140)
Hi Dave,
Did you ever solve this issue? I'm experiencing the same problem, except my system complains that /dev/rmt/0m is the invalid device. Like you, I can tar to the device.
Regards,
John Frizzell
