SolutionYou must configure zoning so there's a zone for server + EVA and another one for server + MSL. This avoids the traffic for backups from interfering with the access to EVA disks.

You don't need an extra HBA to connect your tape. You have to be careful with the zoning configuration though, it would be advisable to create a separate zone for your MSL and your server.
