Connecting a MSL6030 tape library to a DL380 across a Fibre Network
Has anyone successfully conmnected an MSL6030 LIbray to A DL server running W2K3 server. The first issue seems to be loading a driver which will allow us to see the library robotics and then the Drives. Which driver did you use? SCSIport or STORport
The symptoms we are experiencing is that it works for a while and then teh devices disappear.
Any documentation on what procedure was followed during a succesful installation would be a great help.
Thanks

Scsiport is old drive and Storport is the latest driver, For W2k3 Storport driver would be better.

Also check firmware and drivers across the san and use zoneing if you aren't. Differing versions can cause resets on the scsi bus that other version view differently making the tapes disappear. Zoning will help isolate the cross talk. What else is on the san?
