Re: Connecting a MSL6030 to a Smart Array 6i
The smart array do support tape drives.
using hotswap tape drives for the hard drive cage, or using the external connector on the back of the chassis. The ext. conn. is marked with a tape icon.
If you connect a MSL5000/6000 series library. The drives will be listet during POST by the Smart Array controller.
The library will not be listet.
(Actually I have seen it work, Don't do it)
The recommended SCSI HBA, is a Compaq or HP branded Adaptec 29160 and 39160.
Yoy can you an original Adaptec, but then you will not be able to see library on the insight home page.

Re: Connecting a MSL6030 to a Smart Array 6i
correct you can use for MSL
what will happen you will see only drive and not the robot
so attach a new SCSI card to you server then attach the MSL to this card
This will work
