Connecting a SureStore DLT Autloader 1/9 to a Sun Blade Server

Hi,

I want to install DP 5.0 on Solaris. I have a Sun Blade 100 server (low end Sun workstation) and a SureStore DLT Autoloader 1/9. I want to connect the DLT autoloder to the Sun box. The Autoloader interface is LVDS. What is a suitable LVD SCSI card that I should use on the Blade server to connect the Autoloader? Will I need 2 LVD SCSI cards (one for the Drive and one for the autochanger) or is a single card sufficient? Also, any tips on configuring the autloader on the Sun server would be helpful.

Thanks,
Vivek

Typically you do not need a separate HBA for the autoloader. It can be connected to the same card as the drive (but at a different SCSI ID).

Here's a list of supported LVDS cards for Sun systems:

The journey IS the reward.
