Convert Autoloader from External to Internal
I have an external Compaq 20/40GB DAT Autoloader that I wish to convert for internal use.
My past experiences have been that external tape drives are simply internal drives inside of a case with a power supply. Is this the case for this particular drive and will there be any ill effects if I take it out of its case and install it in a rackmount server? If this is not possible, what are my options for getting an internal version? The drive is just about one year old.
Thanks in advance for any help.
