D2D BIOS upgrade
I just upgraded my D2D4004fc to the latest 'O16 11/3/2009' BIOS firmware version. Ever since then my fans have been maxed out. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks...
Thanks...

Re: D2D BIOS upgrade
We've found that the LO100 firmware can cause this.
I suggest that you upgrade LO100 f/w using Service Pack SP44084.exe found at:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3579900&prodNameId=3579901&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-a4dddd3d79fa4377b4360d0197
The process for updating this, is the same as for a BIOS upgrade i.e. with ROMPAQ

Re: D2D BIOS upgrade
There may be a chance (i'm not 100% sure) you need to reinstall the BIOS afterwards, to update the BMC firmware to 3.12. The link i've given will update the BMC f/w separately to 3.11.

Re: D2D BIOS upgrade
Steve...
Thanks for the reply, you were right on the money. My problem was I wasn't at BMC 3.11 when I did the upgrade. I got v3.11 from HP Labs, installed it and then re-ran the upgrade and everything appears to be working fine.
