DAT 12/24 & Veritas BE 8.5

I have a DAT 12/24 in my server and am running Veritas Backup Exec for Win2K ver 8.5 Rev 3572.

Although hardware compression is turned on in the software, I am unable to backup more then 11G of data. There is nothing unusual about the data, in fact a large portion of it is Paradox DB files, very compressable.

Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be the drive?

Any help would be welcome.
