hi,

Did you try to run the HP disag L&TT, it will give you lott of infos.
Also remenber to stop any services or software that could access to the tape if you want to manage it with another software, in fact one of the cause of not seeing the drive or the tape is because another software is accessing the tape before you try to access with you Backup application.
Be sure to not have several backup application active on your server, and if you want to use Tapeware, you have to stop Removable storage service

I ran L&TT and sometimes it saw the drive and others it didn't, which is why I think that the drive is faulty. When it sees the drive then it sees the tape, but 9 times out of 10 it fails to find the drive. I think I will send it back
