Does the DAT 72x6 External SCSI Autoloader support "auto retension"?

that should be a function of software. Some apps can be setup to retension the tape before the backup begins. If that is the case the tape drive will do whatever the software tells it to but does retension occur just when you insert the tape? no.

Well, yes, most back-up software has that option included, however, the hardware needs to support it as well. . .so back to my original question, does the HP DAT 72x6 autoloader support this feature?
