DAT24 LED
A Win2K advanced server, using a DAT24 (C1555B) drive. Upgraded firmware to latest version. Made a backup using Win2K native backup. Backup completed without errors.
Next time system powered up, BOTH the Tape and Clean LEDs came on steady.
LEDs still stay on with no interface connected and ONLY a power supply plugged in.

Re: DAT24 LED
Whenever the Drive and Clean LEDs come on at the same time there is a fault. If this never clears then the drive is probably bad and needs replacing.

Re: DAT24 LED
Hello,
The Clean LED is steady amber isn't it?
The combination below:
Tape LED: Any
Clean LED: Steady Amber
signifies "Error Condition".
Replace the drive.
HTH,
Vince
