DAT72 USB and Arcserve r11.5
Hi,
Anyone have a DAT72 USB working with Arcserve r11.5? The drive is not recognized by Arcserve. However backing up with NTBackup does work (after enable the RSM). Followed the one and only procedure from Computer Associates.
The device should be compatible but with firmware ZA5P or ZA58. My drive came with the latest firmware ZA5U and I can't find the old firmware dumps.

Re: DAT72 USB and Arcserve r11.5
Hi Jeroen,
Try stoping the Tape Engine and then starting it again. I have seen a similar issue with a DAT24 USB so it may or may not work with the DAT72.

Re: DAT72 USB and Arcserve r11.5
I've contacted CA Support. They couldn't solve the problem either. So I think the device isn't approved at all for using in combination with ARCserve r11.5. They've offered to get back on this issue to solve it with a hotfix and add teh hotfix to service release 1 for ARCserve r11.5.
For the time being, there's no solution to this problem (besides using NTBackup).
