DDS-3 C6364A in a C3000

Hi,

I have a C3000, and the DDS-3 model C1537A its broken. I have put a DDS-3 model C6364A, but the server doesn't reconize.

What's happening? Maybe there are incompatible??

Hello,

Make sure you don't have a SCSI conflict. Assign the same SCSI ID as the one you replaced with. Check the jumpers on your old one and put them in the same way for the new one.

I have put the same scsi-id (3), that it has got before. I have rebote the server, and make insf -e, but when I do an ioscan, appers anything.

I notice this is a deskside DDS3 drive.

Where did you connect the drive to? Did you put the correct SE terminator on the drive?

I have connected the terminator that had the other DDS3, and was correct, but the server doesn't reconice it.

Don't worry ;-) yes, I switch on the DDS....
Maybe it's no compatible?? or there is necessary another driver in the C3000???, I don't know...

Can you try to connect it somewhere else e.g. a server, and see whether it's seen or not? For testing purposes.

Now, I am going to probe if the new DDS model C5354A its working in another server model A180c (I don't have another C3000)
