DLT 20/40 in Novell

Hi all,

Kindly help me to diagnise the tape drive DLT 20/40 in novell 4.1

I replaced the existing drive. Now both drives(Defective and New one) are not working. Backup software saying like "no device found".

Please help me...

Have you tried a scan for new devices command from the server's console prompt ?

Then run a list storage devices ...

What is the backup software use ? Is sbackup seeing it ?

Have you check , Scsi cables, terminator, scsi id conflicts ?
