Re: DLT 35/70 Flashing Leds

no you cannot clear the log, but it report the time, and the overtemp occured around 7 days ago assuming it was always powered
you now have 19673 POH
the error occured at 19507 POH

(POH mean Power On Hours)

Re: DLT 35/70 Flashing Leds

Also, extracting from the logs at POH 19630 that is equal to less that two days ago, several A402 errors where logged
>>A402 This event indicates the drive has detected something out of the ordinary during normal operations. This could be items such as a dropped leader, or an error internal to the drive. If this is a hard error the drive will not be functional for reading, writing, or successfully loading or unloading the media. This event may be a recoverable event indicating something at that time was not correct. Multiple events of this type would be a better indicator that there may be a problem with the drive or the piece of media being used. Look for how frequent the events are being logged and how they relate to the media ID.

Re: DLT 35/70 Flashing Leds

Thanks for your effort, New things (sh.t) happens.
Today, well half an hour ago, the drive teared off the leader, as it didn't know when the media was fully rewinded.
Now a thought crossed my mind, I assume that the "tape-end" sensor is a led-barrier, and what if the sensor/led is dirty so the drive doesn't recognise the holes in the leader.

Now, question is what to do, get a new leader, or ditch the whole drive.
