Hi,
I have a HP (quantum) DLT40/80 in a ML370 G2 running W2K std edition. I use CA arcserve to run my nightly backups (However I get the problem if I use windows backup also, the nightly backup runs ok and then ejects the tape (the green operate handle light is displayed) . This is all fine, however as the tape ejects at about four in the morning no-one is here to physically take the tape out of the drive. Ten minutes after the tape is ejected by the backup job the orange in use light comes on with the green operate handle light and then to remove the tape from the drive you have to press the eject button where the tape seems to then be made available to remove.
any thoughts would be great.
thanks
Russell.
