DLT 40

hi guys,

i tried to use DLT40 hp tape drive in our lab.But i can't get it to work.
when i turn on device first *tape in use* light is blinking and after few minutes all light are blinking on right side except green light for operate handle.
Device Manager is not showing any errors and no errors in event viewer.
does anyone have any idea what wrong with it???
is that drive not running on win 2003 server ???

I would check the drive for a dropped leader:

If that is not the problem, then install HP Library & Tape Tools (www.hp.com/support/tapetools) and generate a support ticket (which will grab the drive error logs), and post the .ltt file here.
