DLT/70 error lights help!
I have been using a SureStore DLT/70 drive for years now, and suddenly I am now getting what looks like a hardware error. All of the bottom (or right if installed horizontally) lights are continually flashing on and off. This happens even after a cold reboot.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks in advance...

Hi Jonathan,
HP's Tape Tools diagnostic software may provide you with details about what's wrong. For more information, see this page:

Re: DLT/70 error lights help!
If the operate handle light is on solid, but the other 3 lights (on the unload button end) are flashing, then you may have a dropped leader.

Re: DLT/70 error lights help!
Thanks for the info... However, I don't think that there is a dropped leader. Last night I used the HP Tape Tools software and updated the firmware properly, and ran drive diagnostics successfully. The nightly backup job ran 99% of the way and then crashed, and this morning when I came in, the lights were flashing again.
Please note: All 4 lights are flashing, and the unload button will not unload the tape.
ArcServe2000 states there was a harware error and call the drive mfg which is what I am doing now...Thanks again for your help...
