DLT 7000 tapes. This use to work before.
The tape drive ejects the tape after 1 to 2 minutes.

Re: DLT 8000 VS 40/80 not reading DLT 7000 tapes
A VS80 will NOT read a DLT7000 tape. The only way it could read a tape from a DLT7000 drive is if it was written in DLT4000 (i.e. 20/40) format.

hp_ltt will not run.
Munir, thanks for the doc. That seems to
be our problem.

Re: DLT 8000 VS 40/80 not reading DLT 7000 tapes
There's a problem with LTT 3.3 and 3.4 where it will not run on PARISC 1.1 systems (to be fixed in an SR release). The failure is just as you indicated. In the mean time, I can give you an ftp pointer to LTT 3.2 for HP-UX.
