DLT VS80 Driver Error
My DLT VS80 has suddenly popped on the "drive error" light. I guessing that it's trying to tell me that something has gone wrong, but its got a tape in it and there seems to be nothing I can do to reset or free it (done all the press eject, turn it off and on again stuff). Is it totally bust or is there some magic I can work to get the tape out and get it working again?
Thanks,
Jules.
Thanks,
Jules.

Re: DLT VS80 Driver Error
hi,
try this steps
http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/document.jhtml?lc=en&docName=lpg50061
if you can't succeed, call HP for a replacement if in warranty.
If out of warranty> ;-)

Re: DLT VS80 Driver Error
Jules,
Your best bet might be to get a warranty replacement on it. Of 7 DLT Vs80 drives I installed recently, 3 have died with minimal usage on them, and I have gotten replacements for them.

Some see things as they are and ask why, I dream of things that never were and ask why not?

Re: DLT VS80 Driver Error
Hello,
It could be that the tape got stuck inside. Try to remove the tape from it and retry.
HTH,
Vince
