DLT firmware upgrade

How I can upgrade the firmware for DLT within full FreeBSD server without installing a supported (for HP L&TT) OS on a new disk?

Many thanks.

Re: DLT firmware upgrade

Can you load the L&TT on a wiwdows workstation and temporarily attach the drive there for updating?

Download the L&TT here:

Enjoy!

Re: DLT firmware upgrade

Thank you for your interest. Yes I thought the way you advise. But this is the last exit for me. As you saw in my question I wanted to find a way without using any Windows-like operating system.

Hi there.
If you have the file, you should be able to dd it to a tape, then put the tape in the drive.

Re: DLT firmware upgrade

Thanks for all! I have upgraded the firmware by attaching a temporary disk with Windows OS. This was the shortest way I think. Because, the reason why I wanted to upgrade firmware the machine had not recognised the tape within FreeBSD. I tought OS could reach the DLT box but not read/write from/to the tape.
