DLT tapes VS1 won't load

Of the 22 HP DLTtape VS1 160GB tapes we've purchased in the last 2-3 years, 6 of them over time will no longer load in our StorageWorks VS160 drive. Room environment is stable 70 degree temp with low humidity and cleaning tape used when called for. Five Tapes are used for full daily backup (115GB) while others are monthly set asides. No damage to cartridges. Leaders appear the same in each cartridge.
