DLT40 Use cleaning tape solid light
How to get rid off that message even if we use a good cleaning cartridge. Is there a reset procedure??

If it keeps asking to be cleaned, the drive may have R/W problems. Try getting L&TT (HP diagnostic tool) at www.hp.com/support/tapetools and run some tests, do a firmware update. If you get I/O errors then more in likely your R/W heads may be worn or damaged.
