DP 3.5 sp2 fails to complete job if files'size exceed tape room

hello,

I use Data Protector Express 3.5 sp2 on a Windows 2003 R2 for managing HP storageWorks 1/8 G2.

Recently, backup job is exceeding tape room (LTO-2, 200GB) and it fails to complete. I was expected a second tape could be used to complete the job.
Can anyone help me?

Hi Alex,

sorry to say that... but no one will answer to a Date Protector Express question... as this software is not comparable with Data Protector... Express version is a kind of [censored].

You may need to search google, or open a call if there is maintenance available.

Hi Alex,

while configuring the backup job, you will have to take care of some minor settings to extend the backup job to multiple media. i am pointing them below:

in the job options page of the backup properties you will have to change the following settings:

span mode: Restart file

change mode: prompt for another media

before starting the job you will have to make sure that the required number of media are prepared and assigned for this job.
