DP 6.0 - Ultrium LTO 1 tapes will not format to 200GB

We are now running Data Protector 6.0 on variouls Win2000/2003 servers. We have previously used v5.10 and v5.50. We have Ultrium 1 tapes that we normally format to 200GB and have had no issues until v6.0 now tapes are showing up total formatted capacity of between 84GB and 94GB, when forced reformatted again with 200GB (204800) specified, they come up to 100GB (102400). Other tapes are showing 125GB to 147GB total capacity, but cannot reformat those tapes at this time. This has not been an issue with the same tapes and previous versions of Data Protector.

Yep,

Locate the GLOBAL file, under %DP_HOME%\config\server\options

In the Global file add the following line

MC_13 = 1 36 250 838860800 5

There *should* be a parameter towards the bottom of the file that says:

#Set Size of Tape Media Format Capacity

Set the MC_13... line under it.

The capacity listed is for LTO3. LTO1 is
MC_13 = 1 36 250 209715200 5, and LTO2 would be MC_13 = 1 36 250 419430400 5.
