Data Protector Express 3.50 Permissions Issues

Recently I have taken a job as a contract manager and some of the contracts that I have picked up are in a mess. The main issue that I am having at the moment is giving myself the permissions to set up the email feature within the DPE. The problem that I am having is that even though I have Admin rights and am using a default Admin account, I still cannot get the DPE to allow me to edit the IP address or the port numbers. The past CM set these up using a personal email and now I would like to migrate these over to our own exchange servers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
