Data Protector Express Will Not Run as Service
Hope someone can help,
I've set up Data Protector Express (DPE) for rotating media backup, each night at 10:30 pm. I've also made sure that the Data Protector Express Service is up and Running on my Server (2003 R2 SP2).
I exit out of DPE and then log out for the day, expecting my backup to run.
When I come back and log back in the next day and oopen DPE the Job Status says that the backup wasn't performed that it is "Scheduled Now"
What's going on? Figured I'd try here before calling support.
Thanks!

Re: Data Protector Express Will Not Run as Service
We have seen someting similar to this with some versions. What version are you running and is is the full product or Single Server Edition that came with a tape drive? You can find this by going to "Help" and "About".
One thing to check is to make sure the service is running when you are NOT running the Admin GUI. When the GUI is open it should say "Secondary" in the window banner. Close the GUI first BEFORE you check to see if the service is running. If the service is not running, start the service and configure it to start automatically.
