Data Protector failing to backup one file
Hi All,
I have a problem with data protector express failing to backup one file during our daily backup. This file is 8192 bytes and is marked in the log as "not attempted" it gives no indication of what this file can be.
On some days the backup completes fine without this error but most days it is happening. I have called HP Tape support and they seem to have to no idea how I can find out what this file is. Does anyone have an idea of how I can track what this file is?
The server OS is SBS2008

Re: Data Protector failing to backup one file
Hi,
Can you post the exact error from DP.
To find this file you can use a software called treesize (freeware) which allows you the scan your filesystem for files with a specific size or name.

Re: Data Protector failing to backup one file
Hi,
Please try to check it at the bottom of the log..Might be it will show the file thats not being backed up.
If it doesn't work you have to check it through the status window for the job while it is about to complete.
Thanks.
