Data error (CRC) in BUExec v10d

New installation ; BUExev v10d, HP MSL G2 Series 1x8 autoloader, Adaptec 29320LPE HBA (default configuration).
Intermittant backup failures (2x/month): Data error (CRC) e00084ec

Tape drive statistics in BUExec show HARD WRITE ERRORS. HP LT&T results for drive performance test : "Drive performance is constrained. Check HBA and cable configuration.
Measured native transfer rate is 63MB/s, 52% of the maximum".
What is the issue ? HBA configuration, Tape drive failure ? Please advise. Thanks.
