DataProtector Error message

Help! After starting a backup I receive the following error message: Host for device xxxx dlt drive not found. I'm able to mount, dismount, write to and read from the drives bypassing Data Protector. Any ideas what the problem could be?

More info would help... what drive, what server, what OS? something!
If the flop doesn't fit... go allin!!!
