The "header medium verification" takes still 19h :(
Have anybody a other solution?

Re: Dataprotector "Disable Medium header verification"
Run the backup specification with new tapes and see if it still takes that much time for the medium header verification.
best regards,

The Backuptapes are only 1 year old and i have 3 x 7 Backuptapes. I don't think the Backuptapes are damaged.

Re: Dataprotector "Disable Medium header verification"
You can disable the Medium Header Verification.
The medium header sanity check is enabled by default. The global variable can be set by uncommenting the following line in the Global
Options file: Ob2HeaderCheck=1.
So you've got a workaround for the long time of the verification, but I would run the same job with a new tape. Then you are sure that it is not due to a bad tape.
And install the latest MA patch as well. As a standard action.
best regards,
Kurt
