In the new server (Windows 2003 server, Proliant ML 530 G2 with HP (Adaptec)Ultra 3 controller) we can backup, but with a throughput between 15 and 20 MB/min. I scanned the whole thing with nearly any diagnostic tool from HP (LTT and windows diagnostic). The only information: everything is allright, but slow.
The only thing I noticed that the controller (while booting) says the two SCSI devices (robotic and drive) are connected by 8 bit and ASYNC. I don├В┬┤t thnik that is allright. I have allready been changing the SCSI cable, no difference.
Can anyone tell me how to verify this matter about the controller and the streamer

Re: Desaster with Windows 2003 and C5713 autoloader
Using the mentionned driver I got throughputs up to 250MB/min.
But i really want to know what the "8bit" and the "ASYNC" at startup is all about.

Re: Desaster with Windows 2003 and C5713 autoloader
The real speed and data whidth is fixed later and is not displaid at boot time.
So do not care about that.
