Destination location cap magazine missing during move media using CTL
Dear Commandview TL gurus,
I would like to seek your advice. I would like to move media from slot to mail slot, but it gave me this error. is it something to do with our mail slot drives? Hope to hear from you. Attached is the screen shot.

Re: Destination location cap magazine missing during move media using CTL
Too bad you did not identify the type of your tape library.
In some tape libraries, the "mail slot" is contained in a "tape magazine": a detachable box that can take multiple tapes. If the box is missing, the robot may refuse to move tapes there, because the tapes would be dropped to the bottom of the magazine slot and might be damaged or stuck there.
Or does your tape library model allow the conversion of mail slots into drive slots, for capacity expansion? In that case, the message might mean the location is no longer recognized as a mail slot after it has a drive installed. In that case, it should be addressable as a drive slot.
See the documentation of your tape library.
