Difference in duration verify and restore using FRECOVER

I was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me.
I am currently testing the DR strategy for a server. The live server currently uses FBACKUP to write the system to a HP storageworks ultrium 230. This takes 1 hr to write to the tape and 1 hr to verify.
Now, when I logon to the DR server and restore the tape (using FRECOVER) taken from the live server, it takes approx 2.5 hrs to restore. The DR server uses a HP storageworks ultrium 232.
Can anyone answer why such a difference exists between the verify time on the live and the restore time on the test server?

Hi,

Are you using fbackup for backing up HP-UX (vg00). This is not a recommended solution. Instead you should use Ignite as Distaster recovery tool for HP-UX (make_tape_recovery/make_net_recovery).
