Direct fiber connection MSL6030 tape library
Hello,
I have a MSL6030 tape library with a Network Storage Router E1200 card in it. I’m trying to get it connected directly with fiber to a server with an Emulex Adapter LP950 card in it. I have the library card and the fiber car din the server seeing each other I think, at least the Link Status on the card in the library says “Link Status = UP/LOOP”. But the server and the backup software can’t see any of the tape drives or the robot in the library. Any idea on how to make the server see the tape drives?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Direct fiber connection MSL6030 tape library
Hi,
you need setup the mapping in the NSR.
Check out the NSR 1200-160 or NSR 1200-320 user guide / manual.

Re: Direct fiber connection MSL6030 tape library
You must set it for point to point connection.
I can't remember if you have to do the setting on the NSR, HBA or both.
