Disable Compression on LTFS

Hi , I've noticed that the HP documentation that I've downloaded from HP dosn't list the -c option for the mkltfs command , I'm using osx by the way.

 

Is this just an ommision in the documentation or is it that you don't recomend disabling compression?

 

Are  their any oppinions on compression and it's effect on data loss / possible future recovery ?
