Downgrading Firmware

is it possible to downgrade the firmware on a 20/40 GB Drive? I am asking this because in ArcServe 6.61 for NT Server 4.0, my DLT drive is sometimes offline. I checked CAI's website and I came across a notice that told me the firmware I am running now (D996) is not supported yet within Arcserve. If I can downgrade it, how do I do it? Thanks

Compaq just managed to downgrade the firmware for our 20/40 Dat8 Autoloader. I guess you will have to call them to get it done.
