EML E-Series installation
Iam trying to conect a EML library to my Windows systems.
The library is already attached to the SAN and the Zoning is properly configured. Iam able to see all HBA in EML and configured them.
My problem is i can┬┤t any library / Tapes on in DataProtector when the autodiscover wizard is started.
Do i need install any software/driver on my systems?
many thanks,
Alexander

Re: EML E-Series installation
windows dosn├В┬┤t see the drives.
In CV-TL > Secure Manager, i├В┬┤ve allready attached the WWN to the right host.
There are 3 hosts configured with Port a + b beacuse it is a dual port fc-card.
regards,
Alexander

Re: EML E-Series installation
If the presentation is correct, check your zoning, untill drives appear to your host OS

Re: EML E-Series installation
Try to issue a device discovery from the aplication that manage your FC HBA (hbanywhere for emulex for example) and se if you can see the device from the HBA in the SAN. if you can see other devices and not those comming from the library, you will know where to look for

Re: EML E-Series installation
Iam able to see the hba├В┬┤s in the library and the SAN is proper configured.
I├В┬┤ve raised a HP Call and the technican told me the config looks good but he has no idea why the library will not be displayed in DataProtector.
regards,
Alexander
