EML+MSL

Hi

At present in our organization we are using MSL 6000 tape device(Fiber) for our EVA 5000, yesterday we received one EML tape device, is there is any coexistance issue for using both in the same SAN switch to same EVA. Scond we are using HPDP 5.1 for backup schedule and all how we can use the same for EML also and how to make EML to appear in HPDP.

Will you be using the 2 libraries on the same server?

Each should have their own Storage Router so I do not see any potential problems. You may want to configure separate zones on your switch though for the 2 NSR's

If you will be attaching the EML to another server that is a client in your DP setup, the media agent on the client will be able to talk to the library/drive and make it part of the DP setup.

CURRENTLY WE ARE USING HPDP5.1 AND WANT TO UPGRADE TO 5.5 ,FROM WHERE I WILL GET THE BEST PRACTICE GUIDE
