ESL9198 library driver for windows2000 server

I can not find the driver required for an ESL9198 tape library windows 2000. Device manager sees it as unknown device and veritas won't bring it online without it.

Thanks,
Fred

Fred:

When using Veritas, your usually better off using the Veritas Tape Drivers vs. Microsoft or HP Drivers. Veritas should not need the OS to recognize the actual library model, just know that it is there.

Is this library connected via SCSi or fibre?

What version of Veritas are you using? BE? Netbackup? Version number?

Re: ESL9198 library driver for windows2000 server

It is fibre connected, using Veritas Backupexec 8.6. Yeah i know it's out of date, and we are going to a different solution shortly. I agree with you on the not needing the driver for the OS, but it seems that is the only thing that seems to work. We had an issue last night with the libray and server had to do some rebuilding and we seemed to have lost the driver.
