Error 1316

Windows XP Home. Add & Remove programs/ HP Create Cards Plugin Holiday Card Pack 1. Go to remove and get error 1316 attemting to read file C:\Windows\Installer\Create Cards Plugin Setup Cab.msi. How to fix error so I can remove this from my PC.

There is an alternate way to remove this program from the registry

Go to regedit and to the following location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall
CHeck whether you see a folder for (HP Create Cards Plugin Holiday Card Pack 1)
If you see the folder delete that will only delete the entry in the Add/Remove programs

you might also have to remove all the folder of the program in c:\program files\.

and also in the following registry location

HKLM\Software\ then the folder of the problem
