Error 4007: Media Changed
We have setup Data Protector Express sp4 on windows 2003.
full backup
overwrite all media
no rotation
run repeatedly (daily)
auto format all media
We want a setup to where is does not matter what media is in the drive to override it and backup.
The job starts on the specified time and mounts the media and formats the media
Then we get the following error
Error 4007: Media Changed followed by Error; 1401 Please insert compatible media.
I have recreated the job, formatted the media,
erased the media.
We are rotating our own media.

Re: Error 4007: Media Changed
Hello Fernando,
I have tried but have been unable to replicate your problem. Often these types of problems are related to issues between which devices DP Express is trying to use and which devices you think you have told this specific job to use.
1. Select devices from the "Favorites" column and drill down through the list until you see what devices DP Express has found.
2. Check the job properties and see if you have specified only the device you want DP Express to use. By default, DP Express will try to use any and all of the devices it has configured.
