Error after changing SCSI cables around at the device end
I have 2 SDLT external drives which are side by side, 1 of the drives was giving us write errors from time to time, so idecided to change the drives by swapping the SCSI cables at the device end, after doing this i was unable to write to either device. Any idea's?

Re: Error after changing SCSI cables around at the device end
if each drive is connected to its own HBA and the scsi ids are different, the environment is really different now. This may depend on your OS, but probably you have to adjust the system to accept the changes.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Error after changing SCSI cables around at the device end
I would agree with Torsten in that the scsi id's probably differ. If you run another ioscan on the host machine are you seeing 2 new tape drives, and the old two as no hardware ?
