Error by access Compaq TL895 from OBII over FC SAN NetWare

Hi folk!
Sorry, the problem is too complex. I say it in german and hope you can help me? :-(

Umgebung: Netware 5.1 4 Node Cluster SP1, je 1x FC Compaq Storageworks 64Bit/66Mhz Fibre Host Bus Adapter, 1x Compaq FC-Switch 16 Port, 1x Compaq Tape Contoller II, 1x Compaq TL895 mit 4 Drive's
Omniback II auf Windows NT-Server 4.0 SP5 (Cell-Manager) 3.50 inkl. Patch 00019, ebenfals im SAN;
Novell DA+MA 3.50 inkl. Patch 00019
Windows NT-Server 4.0 SP5 DA+MA inkl. Patch 00019

Problem:
Bei Aufnahme der SCSI-II Library (browsing der SCSII-Adressen f?r Roboter und Laufwerke - die Adressen werden korrekt ausgelesen !) kommt es zu folgender Meldung auf der Netware-Console:

: CPQFC-2.51-0
CPQFC: A request with a invalid data buffer length (not mult 4) has been rejected by the driver

Die Folge ist, das ich zwar die Library in der Konfiguration von OBII aufnehmen konnte, jedoch keine Aktionen m?glich sind, Bsp. Barcodescan oder Backup. Angedacht ist, das jeder Netware-Server seine eigenen Daten ?ber SAN sichern kann, da jeder Netware-Server die Library sieht, also quasi-LAN-free Backup, trotz Server-Client Konfiguration innerhalb OBII. Im gleichen SAN werden auch 2x NT-Server mit dem gleichen Prinzip gesichert, wobei auf dem einen NT-Server der Cell-Manager l?uft und das ohne Probleme, trotz FC-Adapter, die ebenfalls von COMPAQ sind. Die Vermutung liegt nahe, das der Netware-Treiber von Compaq sich nicht mit der OBII-Steuerung vertr?gt.
Wer kann helfen ?

So, from what I understand, the problem is that you receive: " : CPQFC-2.51-0 CPQFC: A request with a invalid data buffer length (not mult 4) has been rejected by the driver" on the netWare console when configuring the devices in OBII.

I would try talking to the robot via UMA and see if that produces the same results. looking at the message, I would suspect something in the device path to be misbehaving rather than OBII. Does the NetWare syslog indicate any failure ? Have you verified that the Switch/Tape hardware is running the latest and greatest 'blessed by Compaq' firmware etc ?

When you load the Compaq SCSI Drivers, can you browse the hardware using NETWARE utilities? It sounds like Netware reports the scsi addreses correctly, but then complains...

Ask Compaq what their CPQFC driver is trying to say...

This is a key point. If this doesn't work, Omniback will not either.

Sieht Netware (mit die Compaq Triebern) die drives? (laufwerke?) Ob es funtioniert nicht gerade im Netware, es gibt kein moeglichkeit fuer Omniback... Veliecht die addressen sind da, aber etwas andere funktioniert nicht?

Fragen Sie bitte um Compaq, was heisst

It may be possible to run Omniback in Debug modes to find out what Omniback is trying to do, but this (the forums) is not the best place to do that -please call your local support.

Es moeglich ist Omniback starten im 'debug' aber, bitte, rufen Sie ihre support an - im Forums stimmt es nicht.

It sounds like the buffer (whatever buffer this is talking about) must be 32 bit (4 byte aligned... ie 4 bytes, 8 bytes, 12 bytes.... something is asking for a number that is not divisible by four - for example a 5 byte buffer is NOT divisible by 4...

Iche lese es so... wann wollen wir (oder Compaq, oder Netware oder...) memory bekommen, es muss sein im 4 byte (32 bit) summen, dass heist 4 bytes, 8 bytes, 12 bytes, 16 bytes, usw. Etwas hier wollt 5 bytes (example) haben, aber es kann nicht so sein...

Sicher mein example ist nicht genau, denn Ich habe keine Ahnung ueber Netware, und praktisch kein Grammatik auf Deutch...
