Exchange 2000 backup with Data Protector SLOW suddenly
Hey all,
I've got an Exchange 2000 cluster that I've been backing up with Data Protector 5.x for quite some time. My Exchange Database is approximately 16 gigs, and doing a full backup (of the stores) using DP to a DLT8000 changer used to take about 45-55 minutes.
Now suddenly, in the last 3 or 4 days, the same backup takes 9 HOURS to complete, causing the other jobs to fail because they can't use the tape changer device. There have been no changes that I'm aware of to either the backups or Exchange, so I'm totally puzzled as to what could be going on. I checked all the logs (in DP and event viewer) and see NOTHING being logged, probably because although slow, the backup is able to finish.
Does anyone have a clue what could be wrong?
