Extrenal Tape EH842A overheats

The fan has stopped. I do not readily see how to open the case. Any suggestions?

No longer under warranty? Because having it serviced by HP would be my first choice.

If not that, there's a Torx bolt (T10) top center of the back of the unit. Remove that bolt. Then the exterior case will separate into two pieces with some manipulation. Looking at the back of the unit, pull the left top side where it bends around the back slightly back and away from the metal back of the drive enclosure. Repeat with the right side. The top piece will then lift off (possibly angling it with the front end lower, I don't remember).
