FIRMWARE UPGRADE ?

We are having problems with an internal 20/40 DLT drive in a Proliant 1600. The leader keeps dropping hence flashing LED's etc. The compaq site lists firmware upgrades for the 35/70 drive and 20/40 external drive to try and reduce this problem. I tried using this but it did not work.

Is there a firmware upgrade for the internal 20/40 DLT drive ?

The best way is to download the TSMC-Software from Compaq. It works with all newer tapes. you find it under http://www.compaq.com/products/storageworks/Storage-Management-Software/tsmc.html
In the Software you can obtain the right firmware for your device
