Fault code: 3200 (Hard) Shuttled Jammed - MSL6000
I have a MSL6000 tape library.
In the LCD screen is displayed this error:
Fault code: 3200 (Hard) Shuttled Jammed
Please explain me what this error is and how can I correct it.
Thank you.

Re: Fault code: 3200 (Hard) Shuttled Jammed - MSL6000
Front Panel Description Shuttle Jammed
Extra Description Shuttle could not reach target location
Recovery Procedures Press the Enter button to reboot
Cycle power to the library or power off the unit using the GUI touch screen. Wait 30 seconds before powering the unit back on again.
Ensure that there are no obstructions inside the library (all cartridges are fully in their slots.)
Make sure that the magazines are firmly seated

Re: Fault code: 3200 (Hard) Shuttled Jammed - MSL6000
I had this problem before, when a small piece of the bar code label was sticking out a bit and "stuck". I had to manually open library and fiddle until I freed it.
I also had a screw come slightly loose, which again froze the arm and needed manual intervention.
If in doubt, get an HP engineer out, so you do not void your warranty.
Regards,
JASH

Re: Fault code: 3200 (Hard) Shuttled Jammed - MSL6000
Here is a procedure to fix your problem.
1) Go MSL6026 front panel and select "Menu"
2) Then select "Factory" and enter 56789 as the password and select "Validate"
3) Next select "Clear SRAM Position Offsets" then select "OK"
4) Select "Back" and then "Back" again
5) Now allow library to recalibrate itself
6) Next Reboot the library from the main screen using the power button icon.
7) Now Test the movement of a cartridge from the mailslot to the Storage slot
as many times as you want.

Re: Fault code: 3200 (Hard) Shuttled Jammed - MSL6000
I've an MSL6000 library (2 units in master slave config) within a SAN environment which is sohwing the follwing errors:
Fault code: 3200 (Hard)
Shuttled Jammed
the master unit robot is not moving even after I removed jammed tape manually and all tapes which where in the drives (3 of 4 had tapes in)
I restarted the library many times, disconnected the FC connections and SCSI cables without success.
Also, if i try to access menu to action any thing (reboot, maintenance, move, magazine access, etc...) it diaplays the folowing message:
The library is busy performing an operation from an external source
please, could you assist with this issue?
Many thanks.

;-)
This is a pure mechanical problem - consider to ask HP for help.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.
