Fedora 5 Data Protector Express Crashes

Hi,

I am configuring a Proliant ML350 server with the HP C7438A Rev ZP5A DAT72 tape drive and Fedora Core 5 as the OS. All options seem to work except performing an actual backup. I can test the device, format media, identify media, import media etc., but when the back up job finishes building the list of files to back up, as soon as the tape drive is accessed, Data Protector Express crashes.

This strikes me completely odd as objects built with the wizard for operations such as "Test Device" and "Format" seem to work without errors.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

David:

Fedora is not a supporte OS, check at:

ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/storage/software/datapexp/060524_DPX_ProLiantEdition(PE)Matrix24May.pdf

for compatibility and supported os.
