Fiber ring and CPQFC and DLT

I am in the need to configure Veritas 8.5 with a compaq server 6500 and a tl891 on a storageworks 16 port mdr and hub. I keep gettting error messages on the server such as loop communication lost. The devices not being seen and so on. Are there any utilites I can use to monitor the server and swtich and so on from netware?

With a telnet session you should be able to monitor the switch. Is there a fibre to SCSI converter for the 891 (has to be I think). Check that one as well. Telnet session !
Check port on StorageWorks switch (or is it really a HUB ??) for errors and type of connection.
